Generating Multiple Streams of Income with Short Term Stock and Options Trading
Today I joined in muddy's chat room . In addition to LMRA, picked up a gem - FORG. Thanks guys!
HRAY | 0.49% |
SIRI | -0.28% |
AVNR | 1.76% |
LMRA | 5.34% |
GHDX | 0.43% |
SYNM | -4.68% |
IVN | 1.40% |
ACTC | -1.69% |
Another day of watching fails:
HRAY SIRI AVNR LMRA GHDX SYNM IVN ACTC
And also CLWT.
My curiosity for the day is Texas biotechnology company, Encysive Pharmaceuticals, ENCY, whose stock has tanked 24% on word that the FDA has now "classified its drug candidate Thelin as a Class II drug, which could complicate its approval process". The drug is already approved in Europe and "it has proved to be much safer than some existing treatments for pulmonary arterial hypertension, or high blood pressure".
And our forceswing candidate today is EPIX.
No fails held green this morning, but ACTC closed up $0.05 to gain 9.26% on volume twice the 3 month average.
Our forceswing candidate Israeli company, Pointer Telocation, PNTR, ran as high as $13.28 (an 18% gain) before closing the day at $11.89 for a 6.16% gain.
And Euro Holdings, CLWT, saw green as it recovered 2.85% from yesterday's 19% loss.
Based on superb advice from muddy, I'll continue to watch those from yesterday that "failed" to hold green:
HRAY SIRI AVNR LMRA GHDX SYNM IVN ACTC
I'll also be watching to see how Euro Tech Holdings company, CLWT , performs after taking a 19% hit yesterday on the news of the intention to acquire a 20% equity interest in a Desulfurization and Dust-Removal company in China. Will there be a correction? Also, PNTR looks like a forceswing candidate.
I'd like to wish all holiday greetings!
I'll probably be sitting out from trading until after the new year, but I will be working and testing different filters and screens.
Here's to a healthy & prosperous new year!
I'm watching ARIA and for trading on Tuesday, Dec19.
Labels: ARIA
Only XNN closed today up 4.44% to $2.61 after trading as high at $2.79 on volume twice the three month average. In the first hour of trading it hit its high at over 10% gain. That's a quick move.
CDE couldn't breakthrough today despite the 6.9 million shares traded and gave back 3.19% . Silver prices "dropped nearly 4% to register their weakest closing level in seven weeks."
AHT slightly down 1.37% and VION slightly up .78% on close to average trading volume.
The market has spoken and gave PQE another beating. It lost another 5% trading on a massive six times usual volume today. It closed down at $9.50.
I'm watching CDE, Couer D'Alene for Monday. It closed Friday at $5.02, down 2.52%, trading on above normal trading volume. No recent news, but technical indicators suggest it's oversold.
Other stocks of note for trading Monday for a quick move: XNN, AHT and VION
EntreMed Inc, ENMD, closed at $1.64 poised for a stock split on Monday.
PROQUEST COMPANY, PQE, gave back 26.85% on Friday, Dec 15 to close at $10.00 on news that they will restate earnings and lower revenue projections. Did the market overreact? I'm curious to see if a correction will come on Monday or if its over for PQE.
MAMA closed at $4.44, up 9.63%. Trading volume was extemely high at over 25 million vs 1.7million usual volume. High for the day was up to $5.28, over 30% over the open. Mama Mia!
Hope you got a piece of the action!
SIM closed at $15.67, up a reasonable 3.64% also trading on higher than normal volume. High for the day was $15.85.
GSIC added 7.4% to finish at $18.87. Trading volume was 2 million vs 328,000 average volume. I'm sure it had a "little" something to do with loudmouth Jim Cramer saying "BUY BUY BUY". Well if you listenend, you'd be happy. This one looks like a keeper.
On Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, BlueFly posted its first million dollar day. In other words, by day's end, Bluefly customers ordered more than one million dollars of merchandise, a record in the company's history, thanks in part to I4 Commerce's "Bill Me Later" technology.
BlueFly (BFLY) posted a whopping 14.78% gain in trading today. Not too shabby.
Let's take a look at the facts:

I'm not a regular viewer of Jim Cramer's Mad Money on CNBC, but when I do catch it, it's always a gem.
Labels: GSIC, Jim Cramer
I'm looking at NYMX for a quick move. It closed today at $3.35 and it's up aftermarket trading.
Labels: NYMX
In an effort to get one step closer to financial freedom, I'll be doing lots of trading in the upcoming year to generate additional income. Are you with me? Multiple streams of income by trading - short term and long holds.
There are as many trading systems as there are traders...I'm tossing my hat into the ring.
