Market Watch - Week of 10/22/07

This week "The major averages suffered steep losses this week amid ongoing credit market concerns and surging oil prices that culminated in a sizable sell-off on Friday." Read more at Market recap.

In other words, lots of Red on the Screen. In trading on Friday, the NASDAQ posted 81% decliners vs 16% advancers. The Dow was down on Friday,(Black Monday anniversary) -2.64% NASDAQ -2.65%.

For the week: The Dow is down 571.06, or -4.05% . The S&P is down 61.17, or -3.92%. The NASDAQ is down 80.52, or -2.87%.

Since we are in this pullback, I'm feeling a little more cautious about the results of any stock screens. I'll still be watching a few stocks but overall I'll be watching the market for now.
